In a combo-review, David Pogue of the New York Times featured the Panasonic GF1, intertwined with the S90 as well. Also of interest, he talks about what are some of the desirable characteristics of serious compact cameras he would like to see.

Panasonic GF1 review at Pocket Lint

Another day, another Panasonic GF1 review in the books! This time it is the turn of technology site Pocket Lint to opine on the camera. These are short tech-type of reviews (think Wired), not the IEEE-transactions type of reviews of dpreview et al.

And a quick FYI for our new readers, you can check reviews of each Micro Four Thirds camera and lens using the list of cameras on the top left side of the screen, or using the tags (labels, aka categories) below each blog post.

We have also added handy links on the left side of the screen to the stock status pages at the main noisy blog, since it would be counter-productive to produce two separate pages doing exactly the same thing.

PhotoZone reviews the Olympus 17mm pancake

It is pancake zone in the Micro Four Thirds world as PhotoZone.de has just posted their review of the Olympus 17mm pancake lens. This is their standard review format, with conclusions and samples on the last page.

The samples are actually using the Panasonic GF1, which was used as the basis of the review.

And some tiny good news on the availability front, the 17mm pancake lens has a $5 discount, you can now get it for $295 at Amazon and B&H Photo.
