Another sign of the success of Micro Four Thirds is the increasing number of books available for M43rds cameras. A new book is coming out by Rooky Nook, "The Panasonic Lumix DMC-G2: The Unofficial Quintessential Guide" by Brian Matsumoto Ph.D and Carol Roullard. The pre-order price is just under $20 at the moment, with an estimated 200 pages.
As there are no books in English for the Lumix G1, I wonder if this book is useful for G1 owners as well? Or could Rooky Nook do a cut and paste editing job to adapt it for G1 owners??

I am guessing its usefulness for G1 users probably depends on how close/apart the G1 and the G2 are in terms of the internals, menus, features, and such. Off the top of my head I can't recall - too many cameras coming out too fast.
I doubt they would go back and produce a new book for the G1. Print books are probably too costly.
But perhaps someone with knowledge of the Panasonic G-series can produce an independent e-book, just like Hogan does for Nikon and Yvon Bourque does for Pentax DSLRs?
