It is pancake-season at Steve Huff Photo, where they have published a review of the critically-acclaimed Panasonic 20mm f1.7 lens. In a case showing the "systemness" of Micro Four Thirds, Steve reviewed the lens on the Olympus E-P2 :)
It's pancake day at PhotoZone as they have just posted their review of the Panasonic 20mm f1.7. This is their standard three-page review format, with full-size samples and conclusions on the last page. We won't reveal them here as usual. The "carrier" for the test was the Panasonic GF1.
dpreview did not hold the syrup when they were reviewing the Panasonic 20mm f1.7 pancake, so now, the question is, what did SLR Gear think of the lens?
The answer can be found in their brand new review that was posted earlier today! No spoilers here, so be sure to check it out.
Not to be a Debbie Downer, but can Panasonic handle another success? ;-)
Let them have pancakes! Both the E-P1 and the GF1 serve as "hosts" in the just posted Panasonic GF1 review at dpreview.com. This is a lens that will likely appeal to every M43rds user, since one of the main promises and premises of M43rds is compact-size and there is nothing more compact in terms of lenses than a pancake lens (other than a Coke-bottle-bottom).
So if you are interested in the GF1, be sure to check the gallery with pictures taken with it and the pancake - you can find them on the last page of the review!
It's party time with pancakes! Photo Review, which also just reviewed the GF1 camera, has also completed their review of the Panasonic 20mm f1.7 lens. Yes, that is the pancake lens! As usual, we won't spoil their findings here, check it out to find out :-)
The lens is currently available for pre-order at Amazon for the list price of $400.
